Roy McMillan has been in the housing industry for the past 30 years. He started off selling real estate during the 1970's in the Redlands area. From there he moved on to become the National Marketing Manager for Logan Units, a modular kit home company, setting up a franchise network throughout Australia.
After five years with Logan Units, Roy and his partner (a registered builder) established Queensland Colonial Homes. His wife, Tracey, worked as Colour Consultant. After several years creating this very successful business, operating from a display homes in Brisbane, the Sunshine and Gold Coasts and outer country areas, Roy sold the business to his partner and moved to North Queensland with his family for a sea change. Roy and Tracey operated from a display home in Mackay and offered the people of Mackay and surrounding areas the same individual design service as they did in Brisbane. This venture again proved to be very successful, but the lure of the big city brought them back to Brisbane where they started Individually Designed Home (I.D.H.) Pty Ltd.
I.D.H. is a Design and marketing company and are associate members of the Queensland Master Builders Association. Roy and his wife Tracey (still working as a colour consultant) have been associated with reputable builders for many years, they cover most areas from Coomera / Laidley / Boonah / Esk / Samford / Blackall / Kingaroy to Caloundra. I.D.H. is a family run business aiming to give a personalized service to their clients.
